Hunger Drive Kick Off

We will meet in the front parking lot at 5:15 PM to carpool to the food bank. We will leave promptly at 5:30. Pop and pizza will be served at the kick off. The event runs from 6-7:30 PM. We will have non-drivers call for rides as we leave the food bank. Hopefully, we will return to West around 8:00 PM. If you would like to see the skit Senate is presenting at the kick off, you are welcome to attend the Hunger Drive kick off aud at West on Tuesday, September 28th beginning at 2:15 PM.

Share A Meal

Wow! What a great response to our first Salvation Army meal. We had a bounty of food and servers. Thank you to everyone who participated. Let's do the same thing next month. Just a reminder, it is not necessary to provide a serving utensil with your dish.

Next date: October 21st. No meals in November or December.

Dining Books

We have asked each Senator to sell four QC Dining Tour books. The books sell for $35 and we make $10 off of each book. This money is used to support the Student Hunger Drive. We will be selling the books through December, but for the money to be utilized for the food drive, we would like to have as many books as possible sold by October 31st.

Share A Meal

  • Thursday, 9/23
  • Salvation Army 6th and Harrison
  • 5:45 PM until about 6:30 PM
Senate prepares and serves food the 4th Thursday of every month during the school year at the Salvation Army. A sign up sheet is posted on the door approx. 2 weeks before the date. Senators are asked to serve twice and to bring food twice throughout the year. The sign up sheet includes bread and butter, 2 gallons of milk, meat casserole dish, or vegetable dish. Meat and vegetable dishes should be enough to serve 12-18 people. We do this in cooperation with St. Mark's Lutheran Church. If providing food becomes a hardship, please talk to Mrs. Hansel or Mrs. Kroening. We can work something out. Next month's date: October 21st. No Share A Meal in November.

Welcome!

Can you believe summer is gone and we are back in school? Thank you to everyone who helped out with the Jr. Bix and registration. Our first challenge this school year will be homecoming.
Bonfire: 9/9
Car Rally: 9/10
Falcons vs. PV Spartans: 9/10
Dance at the RiverCenter: 9/11
Our homecoming theme is Rockin the Night Away. This will be a very busy time for us, but it is also meant to be fun. If it ever stops being fun for you, please let an advisor or an officer know so we can fix it! Here's to a great year!
